Our Method

Our team of fun-loving therapists provide child-centered therapy to facilitate growth and development by maximizing the child’s functional abilities in school, home, and the community. Along with providing fun and engaging therapy activities to build skills, our therapists also work closely with teachers, staff, parents, and caregivers to provide support and strategies to carry out.

Our therapists have experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses such as: developmental delay, Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, Dyspraxia, specific learning disabilities, plus many more. We are able to offer a variety of therapies to best suite your child’s unique needs.

 

Occupational Therapy

 

Occupational Therapists (OT) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) utilize a variety of sensory, motor, and developmental strategies to help children improve performance in daily life skills.

  • Self-help skills: dressing, eating, grooming, meal prep, etc. 

  • Motor skills: control and coordination of motor movements, grasp patterns, visual motor integration, bilateral hand coordination, and handwriting. 

  • Sensory regulation: difficulties filtering/processing/responding to sensory information in order to complete daily living tasks.

 

Speech Therapy

 

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) focus on improving communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal. 

  • Receptive language: following directions, pointing to pictures, and understanding verbal directions and written language. 

  • Expressive language: improving vocabulary, use of words and grammar, sentence length, and pragmatic language. 

  • Pre-language skills: joint attention, imitation skills, and turn taking skills to advance communication.

  • Articulation: improve specific sounds and overall intelligibility.

 

Physical Therapy

 

Physical Therapists (PT) help children improve their range of motion, strength, flexibility, and movement patterns so they can move their bodies and play to the best of their abilities. Our therapists work with children who are having difficulty with:

  • Muscle tightness.

  • Low muscle tone.

  • Developmental delays.

  • Lack of coordination.

 

School Psychologist

 

School Psychologists provide their expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help students succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally in the least restrictive environment at school. They provide a variety of services including:

  • Psychological and psycho-educational evaluations.

  • Interact with students.

  • Conduct observations.

  • Collaborate with staff and parents.
